Shipping & Delivery

1. Delivery of your order

When you take out a V‑IZ subscription through v-iz.de, you receive two deliveries. Both are included in the monthly subscription price (€49.99):

  • V‑IZ platform access: Immediately after successful order completion, you receive a confirmation e-mail with a login link for the web app and mobile app. Access is fully enabled immediately after checkout.
  • Hueber companion books (mandatory choice at checkout): At checkout, you choose between two delivery types for the two Hueber companion books (“Schritte plus Neu”, course book + workbook for the selected level, e.g. A1.1 + A1.2):
    • Printed by DHL to Germany or Austria (see a / b below); or
    • Digital by e-mail (Hueber activation codes; see c below), available worldwide.
    Both delivery types are included in the subscription price. There are no separate book or shipping costs. Follow-up invoices from the second month onward cover platform access only; no further book deliveries are made (books are delivered once in the first month for the level).

a) Shipping of printed companion books to Germany

  • Shipping costs: Included in the subscription price; you pay no separate shipping surcharge.
  • Delivery time: Unless a different period is stated in the respective offer, delivery takes place within 2-4 business days after successful order completion.

b) Shipping of printed companion books to Austria

  • Shipping costs: Included in the subscription price; you pay no separate shipping surcharge.
  • Delivery time: Delivery to Austria usually takes 3-6 business days after successful order completion.

c) Digital delivery (Hueber activation codes by e-mail), worldwide

  • Availability: If you choose digital delivery, you receive the codes worldwide by e-mail at no additional cost.
  • Delivery time: The Hueber activation codes (two codes per level, one each for course book and workbook) are sent to you by e-mail immediately after checkout. If the code stock is temporarily exhausted, you will be placed on a waiting list; delivery will then take place after new codes arrive. We will inform you by e-mail.
  • Redemption: You redeem the codes at hueber.edupool.de in your free Hueber account. The license is then available in your Hueber account for 24 months from activation, even after cancellation of your V‑IZ subscription.
  • Right of withdrawal: When the code is activated on hueber.edupool.de, your statutory right of withdrawal for the code expires (you confirm prior consent at checkout). As long as no activation has taken place, you may withdraw within 14 days. Details are available in the Return Policy.

d) Physical shipping to other countries

  • Physical shipping of companion books to countries other than Germany or Austria is currently not possible. If you want to book the V‑IZ subscription from another country, choose digital delivery at checkout (Hueber activation codes by e-mail; see c).

e) Transfer of risk in shipping (§ 475 Abs. 2 BGB)

In a consumer goods purchase, the risk of accidental loss and accidental deterioration of the shipped goods passes to you as the consumer only when the goods are handed over to you (§ 475 Abs. 2 BGB). If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, we bear the risk and will send a free replacement or refund the purchase price. Please report transport damage or losses promptly to info@v-iz.de.


2. Provision of platform access (V‑IZ subscription)

Digital platform access is part of the monthly subscription price (€49.99). There are no separate provision costs.

  • V‑IZ subscription: Access to the web application and mobile app is enabled immediately after successful order completion. You receive a confirmation e-mail with a login link.
  • Processing time: In rare cases, automatic security checks (fraud prevention) may delay activation by up to 24 hours.
  • Level change: If you switch to another level, you take out a new level subscription. The Hueber companion books for the new level are again included in the subscription and delivered in the first month (details in the Subscription Terms, Clause 1.6).

3. Important delivery notes

  • Immediate start: V‑IZ platform access is active immediately after checkout. You can start the online course immediately regardless of physical book shipping.
  • Sundays and public holidays: DHL does not deliver physical parcels on Sundays and public holidays. Platform access, however, is provided automatically at all times.
  • Delivery address: Please make sure that your delivery address and e-mail address are complete and correct. If shipments cannot be delivered because details are incomplete or incorrect, repeat shipping costs may arise.
  • Spam folder: If you do not receive the confirmation e-mail, please first check your spam/junk folder. If you have problems, contact info@v-iz.de.

4. Accepted payment methods

For orders through v-iz.de, you may choose from the following payment methods:

  • Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • SEPA direct debit
  • PayPal
  • Klarna (invoice, pay now)
  • Apple Pay / Google Pay

Payment processing and management of recurring subscription payments are handled by our payment service provider Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Limited, Ireland). The payment methods shown in the specific checkout process depend on your country.

Note on in-app purchases (mobile app):
For feature-specific purchases within our mobile app (e.g. extended AI functions, tokens), only the payment methods stored in your Apple ID or Google account apply. Billing is handled directly by the relevant app-store operator. These in-app purchases are independent of the V‑IZ subscription on the website.
