Which exam is easier, telc or Goethe?
Both are equally recognised. telc is often cheaper and available in more cities. Goethe has a very strong name, especially abroad.
How much does the exam cost?
Between €110 (A1) and €359 (C2), depending on level and provider. B1 costs around €130-260.
How long is my certificate valid?
The certificate itself does not expire. But: embassies for family reunification often accept only certificates that are not older than 1 year.
Does V-IZ pay for the exam?
No. You pay the exam fee at the exam centre directly. V-IZ is the course for preparation. The exam runs separately.
