An exam is completely optional. Many people learn simply for personal growth or their career and never take one. If you do need a certificate: telc, Goethe, and ÖSD are the three official providers. We prepare you thoroughly; you take the exam in a city of your choice.

We do not issue official certificates. That is exclusively the role of the state-recognised examination centre. The exam fee (approx. 110 bis 260 € depending on level) is also paid directly on-site to the respective provider.
Both certificates are equally recognized. telc exams are often a bit cheaper and available in more cities. The Goethe Institut, on the other hand, has a very well-known name worldwide, which can be a real advantage especially abroad.
Costs vary by level and provider. For levels A1 to B1, they usually fall between 110 € and 260 €. The B1 exam, which matters most to many of our learners, costs on average around 130 bis 260 €.
The certificate itself does not officially expire. However, authorities or embassies (for example for family reunification) often require documents that are no more than 1 year old.
No. The exam fee is paid directly to the external exam center of your choice. V-IZ is the platform for your preparation, the exam itself is a separate process.
