For your first purchase, you get your V‑IZ Subscription 7 days free — no charge, full access. The books are processed separately as a one-time purchase. For books and the subscription, there are clear statutory rights:
- 7-day trial (subscription): You can cancel your subscription at any time during the 7 days with one click in the account portal — no charge, no refund needed.
- Accompanying book (physical): 14-day statutory right of withdrawal from receipt of the goods (§ 312g BGB).
- Hueber activation code (digital): Right of withdrawal expires upon redemption of the code, because the Hueber code as digital content is consumed immediately (§ 356 Abs. 5 BGB).
- V‑IZ Platform (digital service): Right of withdrawal expires upon full performance of the contract — details see Clause 2 (§ 356 Abs. 4 BGB).
The exact conditions can be found in the legal texts below.
1. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period is fourteen days
- for contracts on the provision of digital services (video course, AI trainer, platform access): from the day of conclusion of the contract;
- for contracts that additionally include physical goods (accompanying book): from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, took possession of the goods (in case of partial deliveries, the last partial shipment; in case of multiple goods, the last item) — based statutorily on § 312g BGB.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us:
V‑IZ Video-Integrationszentrum
Owner: Fuat Karacocuk
S 3, 2A
68161 Mannheim
Germany
E-mail: info@v-iz.de
by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an e-mail) about your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the attached model withdrawal form for this purpose, but it is not mandatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send the notification of exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
2. EARLY EXPIRY OF THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
For our digital services, two statutory exceptions apply, which we cleanly separate here because they have different legal bases:
2.1 V‑IZ Platform (digital service) — § 356 Abs. 4 BGB
Access to our video course, AI trainer and learning platform is legally a digital service. Your right of withdrawal expires upon full performance of the contract by us if you
- give your express consent that we begin performance of the contract before expiry of the withdrawal period, and
- confirm your knowledge that with the start of performance you lose your right of withdrawal upon full performance of the contract
(§ 356 Abs. 4 BGB).
How it works at V‑IZ:
- Order in the shop: You conclude the purchase contract in the online shop. Your V‑IZ Subscription starts with a 7-day free trial phase (Day 1–7); within this phase no money is debited. The first billing happens automatically on Day 8.
- Activation of platform access: On first login in the web app or mobile app, you are asked to consent by checkbox to two points: (a) the immediate start of contract performance and (b) the acknowledgment that your right of withdrawal expires with full performance of the contract. Only after this confirmation is platform access enabled.
- During the 7-day trial you can cancel the subscription at any time with one click in the account portal — no money is debited, no compensation arises, no refund is needed.
- After Day 8 (first regular subscription period), a proportionate compensation may apply for content already accessed up to the time of withdrawal (calculation see Clause 3).
2.2 Hueber activation code (digital content) — § 356 Abs. 5 BGB
The digital Hueber activation code (for the digital delivery option of the accompanying book) is legally a digital content, not a service. Here your right of withdrawal expires already with the start of contract performance — i.e. with the first redemption of the code at Hueber Verlag — if you
- give your express consent that we begin performance before expiry of the withdrawal period, and
- confirm your knowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal
(§ 356 Abs. 5 BGB).
Note: As long as you have not redeemed the Hueber code, your 14-day right of withdrawal remains fully in force. After redemption of the code at Hueber Verlag, the digital content has been consumed and cannot be withdrawn.
3. CONSEQUENCES OF WITHDRAWAL
If you effectively withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse you all payments we have received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the additional costs resulting from your choosing a type of delivery other than the cheapest standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we receive the notification of your withdrawal of this contract.
For this reimbursement, we use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction unless something else has been expressly agreed with you; in no case will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement.
Proportionate Compensation for Used V‑IZ Platform
If you have requested, after the 7-day trial (i.e. from Day 8 with successful charge), that the digital service should continue to be performed, and you subsequently withdraw, you owe us a reasonable amount corresponding to the proportion of the services performed up to the time of your withdrawal in relation to the total scope of the services contractually agreed.
Calculation basis: The compensation is calculated proportionately based on the time elapsed since the start of the running subscription period in relation to the total duration of the period (1 month). During the 7-day trial no compensation arises since no charge has occurred.
Return of the Accompanying Book
The accompanying book is a price-controlled textbook (Hueber Verlag, "Schritte plus Neu") and is shown at the legally fixed retail price.
If you withdraw from the contract, you are obliged to return received physical goods to us without undue delay and in any case at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which you informed us of your withdrawal. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the end of the fourteen-day period.
You bear the direct costs of the return.
Return address:
V‑IZ Video-Integrationszentrum (Returns)

You only have to pay for any loss of value of the goods if this loss of value is due to handling of the goods that is not necessary for examining their nature, properties and functioning.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned goods or until you have provided proof that you have sent the goods, whichever is the earlier. For purely digital orders without a physical component, this requirement does not apply.
4. 7-DAY TRIAL: ONE-CLICK CANCELLATION
For your very first purchase of a V‑IZ Subscription, you get 7 days free with full platform access. Here is how the trial-cancel mechanic works:
4.1 Day 1–7 — full access, no charge: Immediately after order completion, you receive full access to the video course, AI trainer and all learning features. During this time no money is debited from your stored card.
4.2 Cancellation during the trial: You can cancel the subscription at any time during the 7 days with one click in the account portal (v-iz.de/konto). Effects:
- There will be no charge on Day 8.
- You retain full access until the end of Day 7.
- No refund is needed since no money has flowed.
- Already delivered accompanying books (physical or Hueber code) remain — apart from the 14-day right of withdrawal for physical books (Clauses 1 and 3) — unaffected by the trial cancellation.
4.2 Day 8 — automatic charge: If you do not cancel, our payment service provider Stripe automatically charges 19,99 € on Day 8 for the first subscription period from your stored card. This auto-charge is part of your order subject to payment and is clearly disclosed to you before order completion as well as in the 24-hour reminder e-mail (§ 312j Abs. 3 BGB).
4.2 Eligibility: The 7-day trial applies only once per person and e-mail address. For a later level upgrade (e.g. A1 → A2 → B1) or for re-activation after prior cancellation, the charge takes place immediately on Day 1 without a trial phase.
Important note: Your statutory right of withdrawal (Clauses 1 to 3) is in no way restricted or impaired by the 7-day trial.
5. ONLINE DISPUTE RESOLUTION
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR) which you can find at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Our e-mail address is: info@v-iz.de.
We are not willing or obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
