Is this a live course?
No. V-IZ is a video course. You watch whenever you want. You pause, jump back, practise at your own pace. Instead of in a classroom, you talk to the AI. It gives instant feedback. No one but you is listening.

How many hours of lessons do I get per level?
Per level you get around 150 hours of video lessons, split into 40 course days. You can watch a course day in one go or split it into small chunks, your progress is saved automatically.

Which coursebook do you use?
We use „Schritte plus Neu“ by Hueber Verlag. It's the book that's also used in many official German courses. That way you're close to the material you'll see again in exams.

Can I have several levels at the same time?
Yes. You can buy a second or third level anytime. In your account you can see which levels are active.

Do I get a certificate of participation?
Yes, after completing a level we'll issue you a certificate of participation as a PDF on request. Just write to us at info@v-iz.de and we'll email it to you.

What does V-IZ cost?
One level costs 149,99 € one-time. No subscription, no monthly costs, no sign-up fee. With printed delivery you can pay in instalments with Klarna or PayPal, about 12,50 € a month.

Is this a subscription?
No. V-IZ is a one-time purchase. You pay once and get 12 months of full access. There's nothing to cancel and no further charges.

Which payment methods are available?
Credit card, SEPA direct debit, Apple Pay and Google Pay. For printed delivery to Germany and Austria, also PayPal and Klarna, including in instalments. All payments run encrypted via Stripe, and we at V-IZ never see your payment details.

Do I really get a book?
Yes, the matching Hueber book is included in the price. When you order, you choose whether to receive it printed by DHL to your home (EU-wide, 3.99 € flat-rate shipping) or to activate it digitally via an email code. You can use both for 2 years, even after your 12 months end.

Do you ship abroad too?
We ship printed books EU-wide by DHL, for a 3.99 € flat-rate shipping fee. Outside the EU, please choose the digital option, the Hueber code by email works worldwide and instantly, with no shipping costs.

How do I sign in?
In the V-IZ app. Download the app for iPhone or Android, or open app.v-iz.de in your browser, and sign in with the email you used to buy the course. Your progress syncs everywhere.

Do I have to cancel anything?
No. V-IZ is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. After 12 months your access ends automatically, with nothing for you to do. Nothing further is charged.

Where do I find my invoices?
Via the „Account“ button at the top right. It takes you to the secure Stripe customer portal, where you can download all invoices as PDFs.
