SENTENCE ELEMENTS

Who does what, when and where?

Recognising sentence elements also helps you understand word order. You see a complete sentence in blocks and tap the one requested. 113 sentences from A1 to B1, no account required.

At a glance

113 sentences from A1 to B1

There are 50 sentences each at A1 and A2, and currently 13 at B1. All come from everyday life and are short enough to understand at a glance.

One question per card

Each card asks for one sentence element, for example “Tap the subject”. When the same sentence returns, the question may ask for the verb.

See why an answer was wrong

If you tap the wrong part, the trainer tells you its actual role: predicate, object, time phrase or place phrase.
